Established in 2023 as an extension of Richard Adams Group, the Training Academy aims to bridge the current shortage and build a strong pipeline of qualified fibre optic engineers, by leveraging the expertise of the market leading provider of fibre optic services.
Overview
Our Training Academy offers a comprehensive portfolio of courses designed to cover all disciplines within the fibre optic industry.
Our splicing courses cover both theory and practical applications and gives each individual the best opportunity to learn and understand the fibre industry history and present and future applications.
Each person attending these courses will complete practical applications in fibre splicing as if they were part of an active project in the field. Unlike other courses that only offer a couple of splices, RAG will ensure you have the benefit of completing at least 30 splices, fully testing them and auditing to make your experience as valuable as possible.

Fibre Optic Splicing and Testing Course
Passing this course will allow you to go and work as a qualified fibre optic engineer. All successful participants will receive a full toolkit of all the necessary equipment needed for you to join any splicing team and start putting into practice the knowledge you have learned from the Richard Adams Group Training Academy.

This Signing, Lighting and Guarding training course is designed for Operatives and Supervisors who have to erect or monitor the erection of signing, lighting and guarding for work on the roadways and highways. The course aims is to provide Operatives and Supervisors with the skills and knowledge to perform their respective duties when signing, lighting and guarding to the standards prescribed by City & Guilds and in-line with the NRSW Act, in order to safeguard themselves and others.
